Retreat Weekend Information

The 3rd annual Rise Retreat
Where:
Twin Oaks Ranch in Buda, TX
Cost:
$150 per student
What to bring:
  • Clothes for 3 nights and 4 days — IT'S GOING TO BE HOT!!!
  • Swim Suit — 1 pieces for ladies
  • Camp Clothes — things you won't mind getting dirty
  • Running/Tennis shoes
  • Bedding — sleeping bag or sheets and blanket & pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Shower towel and wash cloth
  • Bible, pen, and journal
What to expect:
  • Speaker and Worship Band
  • Break out session with your counselors
  • Prayer
  • Food — 3 amazingly delicious meals per day
  • Free Time — swimming, canoeing, zip line, sand volleyball, basketball, games, sleeping, and getting to know other Texas State students!
  • Fun and games — i.e. a blasty blast

The Band

The Rise Band aka The Josh Martinez Band is a motley crew of Christ-following, music loving, worship-leading folks who seek to glorify His kingdom through the gift of music. The band includes lead guitar and vocalist Josh Martinez, Heather Walker singing, Dan Hardy on drums, Chris Luna on the keys and electric guitar, and Travis Keas bass.
